Tributes have been paid to Ammanford cyclist David Paul King who was killed following a single vehicle collision on his bicycle on Friday, May 6.

Mr King, aged 58, was taken to hospital following the accident, suffering serious injuries but sadly died a short time later.

Originally from Swansea, Mr King was known to his friends and neighbours as Dai. Commenting on his passing, his family have said that ‘he will be sadly missed by everyone he knew’.

The incident took place at around 8.45pm on Friday, May 6 outside the Discovery Bookshop in Cwmamman Road, Garnant which is on the outskirts of Ammanford.

Police are still appealing for witnesses to the incident or motorists who may have dashcam footage which could help them in their enquiries.

“We are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the pedal cycle at the relevant time, or may have dashcam footage if they travelled along this stretch of road at the time, to get in touch,” commented a spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police.

“Also local residents and business owners are asked to contact police if they have any CCTV footage covering the location.”
