A NUMBER of people from Carmarthenshire and Swansea Valley have been in court on speeding charges recently.

David Thomas Hill, 37, of Pentregwenlais Road, Llandybie, was found guilty of speeding by Llanelli Magistrates Court on May 3.

He was caught on November 25 doing 38mph on A476 Carmel South where the limit is 30mph. He was fined £220 and given three points on his licence. He also had to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.

Sean Robert Rideout, 27, of Pant y Blodau Road, Blaenau, Ammanford, was found guilty of speeding by Llanelli Magistrates Court on May 3.

He was caught on November 1 doing 36mph on B4297 Llanedi Village where the limit is 30mph. He was fined £220 and given three points on his licence. He also had to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.

Luke Toms, 35, of Ffordd y Glowyr, Betws, Ammanford, was found guilty of speeding by Llanelli Magistrates Court on May 3.

He was caught doing 82mph on the overpass A48 near Pensarn where the limit is 70mph. He was fined £220 and given three points on his licence. He also had to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.

Joby Charles Randall, 49, of Milo, Llandybie, admitted speeding at Llanelli Magistrates Court on May 4.

He was caught on November 15 doing 43mph on A476 Gorslas where the limit is 30mph. He was fined £333 and given four points on his licence. He also had to pay £34 surcharge and £110 costs.

Gwynfor Jones, 73, of Llanddeusant, Llangadog, admitted speeding at Llanelli Magistrates Court on May 5.

He was caught on November 9 doing 57mph in a single decker coach on B4300 Coleg Sir Gar where the limit was 50mph. He was fined £66 and given three points on his licence. He also had to pay 334 surcharge.

Christine Natasha Harcourt, 33, of Caledfwlch, Cwmifor, Llandeilo, admitted speeding at Llanelli Magistrates Court on May 4.

She was caught on November 14 doing 40mph on A476 Gorslas where the limit is 30mph. She was fined £40 and given three points on her licence. She also had to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.

Amarjit Kaur Kingra, 48, of Commercial Street, Ystradgynlais, admitted speeding at Birmingham Magistrates Court on May 4.

He was caught on November 20 doing 78mph on M6 between J7-8 where the limit is 40mph. He was fined £744 and given six points on his licence. He also had to pay £74 surcharge and £110 costs.

Joseph Richard Hill, 20, of Lloyd Street, Trebanos, Pontardawe, admitted speeding at Cardiff Magistrates Court on May 4.

He was caught on October 17 doing 38mph on B4603 Swansea Road where the limit is 30mph. He was fined £76 and given three points on his licence. He also had to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.
