Ammanford is the number one property hotspot in the UK - and that’s official.
The news came yesterday following confirmation from Zoopla that the UK’s most viewed property for March 2022 stands on the town’s Dyffryn Road.
“We’re extremely pleased with the announcement, but to be honest, we’re not particularly surprised,” said Helen Calow who runs Calow Evans estate agency, the company which is selling the property on behalf of the vendors.
“This really is a beautiful property. It’s very contemporary with a large garden and is very close to the M4 but what makes it even more desirable at this time of the huge fuel increase is the fact that it runs off air source heating so it’s energy performance is fantastic. In other words, this is a perfect family home.”
The five-bedroomed property in Dyffryn Road was built in 2015 to an extremely high specification and, given its strong design element, it’s spacious garden and its location, it’s recent Zoopla views far outweigh any other property in the whole of the United Kingdom.
But in January of this year, Ammanford once again hit the Zoopla top ten figures when a converted brewery and pub came in at number two, followed by a recently converted farmhouse at number six.
The town is proving a popular choice given it’s geographic location in the heart of Carmarthenshire, which affords easy access onto the M4 but equally the benefits from the breath-taking views around the Amman Valley to the east and the Black Mountains to the north. Throughout the Covid pandemic, Carmarthenshire was placed in the top three areas of Wales and the UK which saw the biggest increase in the average house prices.
The Dyffryn Road property is currently on the market for offers in the region of £585,000. Anyone interested in finding out more about the property or viewing it away from the Zoopla screen should contact Helen Calow or Dana Evans at the Calow Evans estate agents office which is situated in Ammanford High Street, Tel. 01269 543128.
