Children at an Ammanford nursery school have raised over £250 for the Jac Lewis Foundation.
The youngsters at Ysgol Feithrin Rhydaman took part in a charity balance bike race in the school raising a total of £256.24 for the the foundation.
The foundation was set up by officials at Ammanford AFC in December 2019 following the death of one of its players, 27-year-old Jac Lewis, in February of that year.
The ground-breaking wellbeing centre is based in the recreation ground in Ammanford and provides free of charge services including telephone support, one-to-one counselling, well-being workshops, coffee mornings, training courses along with mentor training for the community and a place for people to meet, engage and not be alone.
Last year the foundation announced it had joined forces with Swansea City to develop a new hub, which will offer Swansea City supporters, along with local residents, the opportunity to attend fortnightly drop-in sessions facilitated by qualified counsellors to receive professional help and support for mental health difficulties.
Here is Jessie, Jac's father, visited Ammanford nursery in December 2021 when he was presented with the cheque from the school council.
School teacher, Nerys Williams said: "The Jac Lewis foundation is a charity close to our hearts and we were very happy to raise money for such a good cause.
"Jessie made the children little wooden medals to take home and hang as a decoration as a thank you."
