PEOPLE in Carmarthenshire are being asked their views of a draft well-being assessment following a recent public engagement programme.
Under the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015 each Public Services Board (PSB) in Wales must periodically produce and publish a Local Well-being Assessment.
The consultation is open until January 20 and can be accessed through the council website www.carmarthenshire.gov.wales/consultations.
The draft assessment has been drawn up following a public consultation and based on data, evidence and feedback from residents and stakeholders. The assessment has highlighted poverty, suicide rates, climate change, water pollution and dementia as key areas of concern in the county.
Barry Liles, chair of Carmarthenshire Public Services Board, said: “On behalf of the PSB, I would like to thank everyone who has taken the time to respond to our consultation and take part in our involvement work to identify the key priorities.
"The draft Assessment of Local Well-being tells us a lot about well-being in Carmarthenshire across our life stages.
"The next step is to check with residents and stakeholders that we have identified the right issues and themes before preparing our Well-being Plan.
"I would encourage everyone to have their say and help us protect our future generations."
