There have been 329 new coronavirus recorded in the Hywel Dda Health Board area according to the latest figures today (Thursday, October 14).

The latest data shows there were 151 new cases in Carmarthenshire, 137 in Pembrokeshire and 41 in Ceredigion since the last report.

The total number of cases across the three counties now stands at 35,000 – 21,094 in Carmarthenshire, 9,256 in Pembrokeshire and 4,650 in Ceredigion.

There were two new Covid-related deaths recorded in the Hywel Dda area since the last report, with the total standing at 534 throughout the pandemic.

In total 2,635 new cases of coronavirus and 12 new Covid-related deaths have been reported across Wales bringing the national total to 389,152 cases and 5,990 deaths.

There have been 25,358 tests done across the country since the last report.

Across Wales 2,404,237 people have had their first dose of covid-19 vaccine and 2,232,967 have had their second dose and are fully vaccinated.

Hywel Dda University Health Board is no longer updating its vaccination reports with invitations for third ‘booster’ doses now going out to residents across the three counties in priority order.
