There have been 288 new coronavirus cases recorded in the Hywel Dda Health Board area according to the latest figures today (Wednesday, October 13).

The latest data shows there were 155 new cases in Carmarthenshire, 100 in Pembrokeshire and 33 in Ceredigion since the last report.

The total number of cases across the three counties now stands at 34,671 – 20,943 in Carmarthenshire, 9,119 in Pembrokeshire and 4,609 in Ceredigion.

There was one new Covid-related deaths recorded in the Hywel Dda area since the last report, with the total standing at 532 throughout the pandemic.

In total 2,266 new cases of coronavirus and four new Covid-related deaths have been reported across Wales bringing the national total to 386,516 cases and 5,978 deaths.

There have been 18,063 tests done across the country since the last report.

Across Wales 2,403,211 people have had their first dose of Covid-19 vaccine and 2,231,804 have had their second dose and are fully vaccinated.

Hywel Dda University Health Board is no longer updating its vaccination reports with invitations for third ‘booster’ doses now going out to residents across the three counties in priority order.
