There have been 653 new coronavirus recorded in the Hywel Dda Health Board area according to the latest figures today (Monday, October 11).

Figures on a Monday are for a 48 hour period up to 9am on Sunday and are likely to be around double the usual 24 hour figures, with network issues causing delays in PHW reporting at the end of last week.

The latest data shows there were 332 new cases in Carmarthenshire, 225 in Pembrokeshire and 96 in Ceredigion since the last report.

The total number of cases across the three counties now stands at 34,073 – 20,623 in Carmarthenshire, 8,900 in Pembrokeshire and 4,4550 in Ceredigion.

There have been three new Covid-related deaths recorded in the Hywel Dda area since the last report, with the total standing at 531 throughout the pandemic.

In total 4,469 new cases of coronavirus and eight new Covid-related deaths have been reported across Wales bringing the national total to 382,203 cases and 5,973 deaths.

There have been 53,112 tests done across the country since the last report.

Across Wales 2,400,694 people have had their first dose of covid-19 vaccine and 2,229,956 have had their second dose and are fully vaccinated.

Hywel Dda University Health Board is no longer updating its vaccination reports with invitations for third ‘booster’ doses now going out to residents across the three counties in priority order.
