A graduate from University of Wales Trinity Saint David has landed a part in a production by Cwmni Theatr Arad Goch.

Niamh Moulton from Ammanford will appear in the show ‘Tu Fewn Tu Fas’ that will tour primary schools in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Powys, between October and January.

The show, which presents the story of three friends, discusses topics such as how they treat each other, friendship and relationships. The play is based on what is on the minds of young people, the things that excite them, as well as those things that worry them.

Niamh succeeded in getting a contract with an agent following her final performance at University, and it was through that agent that she had the opportunity for an audition with director Jeremy Turner before being chosen for the part.

Niamh studied the courses BA Perfformio and MA Perfformio at Canolfan Berfformio Cymru, Cardiff. She decided to attend Trinity Saint David in order to be able to study the course through the medium of Welsh, as well as to experience student life in the capital city.

“The Perfformio course gave me the opportunity to experience other aspects of the industry, such as directing, screen acting and Musical Theatre”, said Niamh.

Throughout the course, Niamh has succeeded in developing her self-confidence, thus preparing her to be an independent and self-sufficient individual. Niamh added that the University was remarkably supportive during her time as a student, and that the tutors have been prepared to keep in touch with her since she finished at University.

Eilir Owen Griffiths, Director of Canolfan Berfformio Cymru said: “We are extraordinarily proud of Niamh’s success. We have watched her develop over a period of three years, firstly studying BA Perfformio and then MA Perfformio. I would like to wish her well on the journey ahead.”

Niamh’s hope is to continue working within the performance industry in order to do what she enjoys most.
