A MOTORIST must pay more than £800 after being caught driving with no insurance.

Llanelli Magistrates heard that Kathleen Ann Davies, of Lon y Gruglas, Ammanford, was driving a Nissan Qashqai on the M4 Westbound at J47-48 on April 23, where there was no insurance in force covering the use of the vehicle.

The case against Davies was proved in her absence under the single justice procedure at the court on Thursday, September 9.

The bench fined the 40-year-old £660, ordered her to pay £66 to fund victim services and £90 costs.

Her licence was also endorsed with six penalty points.
