Ammanford driver doing double the speed limit handed ban
A MAN has been banned for six months after he was caught driving at over twice the speed limit in Carmarthenshire.
Nathan Davies Page, of Penybanc Road, Ammanford, entered a guilty plea under the single justice procedure to a charge of speeding on the B4310 Llanddarog, Carmarthen, on April 6.
The bench at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court heard how the 26-year-old was driving a Mercedes when he was clocked by a laser gun showing a speed of 69mph – more than twice the 30mph legal speed limit.
As well as the six month driving ban, Page was fined £440, ordered to pay a £44 surcharge and £90 costs.
