A man has been arrested on suspicion of drug-driving after a crash in Ystradgynlais.

The incident took place on Wednesday, May 12 at around 10.10am on Gurnos Road, near the Aubrey Arms.

The road was closed for some time following the crash with emergency services called to the scene.

A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesperson said: “We were called to a two-vehicle collision on Gurnos Road, at around 10.10am. One male was arrested on suspicion of drug-driving.

“Two people were taken to hospital by ambulance at around 2.30pm. Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or changing.

“The road reopened a short time later following the recovery of the vehicles.

A statement from the Welsh Ambulance Service said: "We were called at approximately 10.04am, on Wednesday, May 12, to reports of a road traffic collision in the Gurnos area of Swansea.

"We attended with crews from our Hazardous Area Response Team and one emergency ambulance. Two patients were taken to Morriston Hospital for further treatment."
