Carmarthenshire residents are being reminded that there are changes to bin collections over the May bank holiday.

From Monday, May 3 until Friday, May 7, collections will take place one day later than usual, with Friday collections picked up on Saturday instead.

These changes also affect garden waste collections.

Households are reminded to bins out by 6am on the day of collection, and that the maximum number of black bags you can put out is three a fortnight. People are being asked to recycle as much as possible in blue bags and put any food waste in green bins which are collected weekly.

The recycling centres in Wernddu in Ammanford, Trostre in Llanelli and Whitland are all open on bank holiday Monday.

Unfortunately, the recycling centre at Nantycaws (Carmarthen) is currently closed for public safety reasons following a fire.

To book an appointment please visit Carmarthenshire council's website or call 01267 234567.
