A MOTORCYCLIST caught speeding at 96mph as been fined by magistrates.
Michael Robert Bates of Commercial Street, Ystradgynlais, was caught driving a Yamaha Fazer on the A470 Brecon dual carriageway at a speed of 96mph in a 70mph zone.
The 35-year-old pleaded guilty under the single justice procedure.
Taking the defendant’s guilty plea into account magistrates at Llanelli fined Bates £248, and ordered he pay a £34 surcharge and £90 costs.
His driving record was endorsed with five penalty points.
