A PERSISTENT offender who breached a criminal behaviour order has been sent to prison for 20 weeks.
John David James, of Tir Y Plas, Llandybie, was caught urinating in a public place on January 9 in Ammanford.
The 67-year-old pleaded guilty to breaching his criminal behaviour order when appearing at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on January 15.
The bench said the defendant had shown a “flagrant disregard for court orders, people and their property” and sentenced James to eight weeks in prison.
James also admitted breaching a suspended sentence order handed to him in November last year.
His suspended sentence order was implemented to run for 12 weeks to run consecutively with the eight-week sentence, delivering an overall sentence of 20 weeks in prison.
James was also ordered to pay a £128 victim services surcharge.
