PRIME Cymru - a charity founded by HRH The Prince of Wales - is hosting a free virtual Be Your Own Boss event next week.

On January 19 business experts from across south-east and south-west Wales will be available to offer a wide range of support and guidance to anyone thinking about becoming self-employed.

From business idea workshops to financial and legal advice or even personality psychology sessions, there is something to cover all interests.

PRIME Cymru believe that the Coronavirus pandemic has left people exploring different career options, with many considering starting their own business.

Starting at 10am, the event will be formally opened (via video) by Sara Edwards, Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of Dyfed.

Spread out throughout the day, there will then be a mixture of videos, webinars and online workshops from Working Wales, Business in Focus, Business Wales, Business Sense Associates, SC Cymru, Career Alchemy, Darkin Architects, Darwin Gray, Upstart Wales, Caerphilly County Borough Council, Gower College Swansea, The College Merthyr Tydfil, Santander, Professor Dylan Jones Evans, Purple Shoots, Threshold DAS, Development Bank of Wales, Job Centre Plus and Communities for Work.

You can find the event by searching Be Your Own Boss – South Wales on Facebook. For more information, please email enquiries@primecymru.co.uk or ring 01550721813.

PRIME Cymru’s Director of Operations, Hayley Ridge-Evans, said: “PRIME Cymru is very excited to be holding our first entirely virtual Be Your Own Boss event, and thank all those organisations who are taking part for sharing their experience and expertise with individuals who are starting out on their journey.

“It is important that people who are thinking about starting a business during the current pandemic are able to receive the support and help they need and deserve, and had the situation been different we would have been holding a physical event. Just because we can’t meet in person doesn’t mean we can’t help enable the entrepreneurs of tomorrow to achieve their goals and ambitions today.”
