A 61-year-old woman has died in a crash on the M4.
Emergency services were called to the incident near junction 48 at Hendy last night, Wednesday, January 13, at around 8.55pm.
The crash involved a purple Citroen DS3 and white Ford Focus on the eastbound carriageway.
The 61-year-old woman who was driving the Citroen died at the scene.
A 27-year-old man who was driving the Ford Focus remains in hospital with serious injuries.
The police are appealing for witnesses.
