A BRYNAMMAN man has been fined after admitting carrying a blade in a public place and using threatening or abusive behaviour.
Rory Florence, indicated a plea of guilty to carrying a small military-type blade with a sharpened edge without good reason or lawful authority at Tanerdy on October 13.
The 35-year-old also admitted that he intended to cause alarm and distress to PC Lucas on the same date.
Magistrates at Llanelli Court ruled the offence was racially aggravated.
A community order was made requiring Florence to participate in an accredited programme for 19 days.
He was fined £200 and ordered to pay £100 compensation and a £90 victim services surcharge.
The blade was ordered to be forfeited and destroyed.
