THERE have been no coronavirus-related deaths in Test Valley this week, government figures confirm.
Figures released by the government show that in Test Valley, there have been no deaths within 28 days of a positive test for Covid-19 in the last seven days - since November 8.
It comes after five deaths were recorded in the week before.
However, 43 people were diagnosed with the virus yesterday in the borough (Saturday, November 14).
It means that in the last seven days, 147 people tested positive in Test Valley.
The number of people testing positive for coronavirus is increasing in the borough.
In the seven days up to November 7, there were 41 fewer Covid cases in the borough - meaning that the number of cases has risen by almost 39 per cent this week.
However, the coronavirus 'rate' in Test Valley - the number of people testing positive per 100,000 of the population - remains well below the UK average.
On average, 107.8 people test positive per 100,000 of the population, compared to a country-wide rate of 247.6.
