A DRIVE out with a friend during the first coronavirus lockdown period has proved costly for a Glanamman man.
Ryan Berry of Cwmamman Road, found the case against him proved in his absence under the single justice procedure at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court.
The court heard that Berry was caught on April 24 in Ammanford, away from the place he was living during the emergency period without reasonable excuse, having been out for a drive with a friend.
The 22-year-old was fined £660 by magistrates under the Health Protection (Coronavirus Restrictions) (Wales) Regulations 2020.
He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £66 victim services surcharge.
