A WIFE has paid tribute to a "gentle and loving husband" who was killed in a motorbike crash in Llandeilo.

Iwan Lloyd Jones, aged 60, from the Capel Isaac area died in a road traffic collision on the A40 Llandeilo Bypass.

The crash, involved a Triumph Daytona motorcycle and a Citroen Xsara, and occurred at the junction with the old Carmarthen Road, on the outskirts of Llandeilo, on Wednesday, September 9 at around 2.30pm.

In a touching tribute Iwan's wife Mandy described his as a “gentle, generous and a thoughtful, loving husband".

"He wasn’t just my husband, he was my best friend and my soul mate," she said.

"He has left a big hole in my heart but I take comfort in knowing that he will always be around me to protect and look after me.

"He will be deeply missed by all. Rest in peace cariad bach, cysga’n dawel. Caru ti.”

Dyfed-Powys police continues to appeal for witnesses.

A spokesman said: "If anyone witnessed the collision or has any dashcam footage, please contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit quoting incident ref 187 of the 9 September.
