VISITS to care homes in Carmarthenshire have been suspended due a rise in cases of coronavirus.
Carmarthenshire county council said it was taking the precautionary measure for an initial period of two weeks - until September 25.
A spokesperson said: “Staff have been asked to continue supporting families to visit relatives outside, so long as this is practical.
“This decision has been taken after careful consideration, and we appreciate that this will be disappointing for some families and residents. We thank everyone for their continued support.”
