SOME Carmarthenshire and Swansea Valley residents will be lucky enough to catch the Red Arrows tomorrow as they perform a special VJ Day fly-past across the UK.

The fly-past will see the world-famous aerobatic team fly across the country, passing Edinburgh, Belfast, Cardiff and London.

The route they will take tomorrow will see them fly over Llandeilo towards Glanamman before heading towards Rhydyfro and then Ystalyfera as they make their way towards Cardiff.

South Wales Guardian:

An interactive map online shows the points and times the planes will fly over.

Residents are most likely to see them flying over from around 2.30pm.

However, organisers say that the route and timings may change due to weather or other factors.

The flyover is part of the commemoration of the 75th anniversary of VJ Day for 2020.

Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, The Duke of Edinburgh and The Duke of Cambridge will lead commemorations marking 75 years since the end of the Second World War.

Prince Charles will lead a two-minute silence at 11am at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire as part of a special televised service.
