A MAN has been Tasered and arrested at Brighton Palace Pier.
Patrolling officers were flagged down in London Road this afternoon and were told someone had been threatening to kill people in the area.
Just 13 minutes later, at 1.17pm, they received a second report of a man threatening others at Brighton Palace Pier.
A witness described seeing about ten police cars and vans parked at the pier, with at least six officers involved in restraining the man.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: “The man repeatedly refused to comply with police directions and for the safety of himself, the public and police, he was detained using Taser and arrested for public order offences.
“We would like to thank members of the public for their prompt calls in relation to this matter.”
