An Ammanford small business has received a boost from retain entrepreneur and Dragon's Den star, Theo Paphitis.

Sarah Skilton, of Adventure Accessories, tweeted Theo about her business during ‘Small Business Sunday’.

The weekly initiative, set up by Theo in 2010, sees six weekly winners gain a retweet by Theo to his 500,000 Twitter followers.

To date there has been over 3000 small business Sunday winners across the UK.

Business and retail entrepreneur and self-confessed shopkeeper, Theo re‐tweeted Sarah’s message to his almost 500,000 followers and as a result, her business - Adventure Accessories - has gained over 100 more followers and networking opportunities for its outdoor gifts and accessories range.

The business is also profiled on the #SBS website that is exclusive to all Small Business Sunday winners.

South Wales Guardian:

Sarah said: “I honestly could not believe it when I won and received the retweet from Theo. I created my small business in 2018 and I still work out of my conservatory, turned craftroom.

"It is wonderful to have support from Theo because it is tough trying to raise your profile and been seen as a small business, especially in the current climate. Theo has recognised my hard work and helped spread the word about what I do to his following.”

Small business champion and chairman at Ryman Stationery, Robert Dyas and Boux Avenue, Theo Paphitis, said: “We are thrilled to welcome new #SBS members every week and highlight just how important it is to support our small businesses here in the UK. My vision is that everyone who has ever won an #SBS re-tweet from me becomes part of a friendly club; like-minded individuals who can share successes and learnings.

The website will also give a valuable profile to the winners chosen and I wish Sarah and her Adventure Accessories every success.”

Anyone looking for a re‐tweet from Theo should tweet him about their business on Sunday between 5pm and 7.30pm and include the hashtag #SBS.

Six lucky businesses are re‐tweeted every Monday at 8pm and then invited to enter their profile on the new website, attend the annual #SBS networking event and take advantage of the networking opportunities.
