DRIVERS and walkers are being warned to be on the look out for deer on the run.

Sunninghill and Ascot Parish Council posted an appeal on their social media page a warning about several road accidents involving deer.

It comes after Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Council (RBWM) received a number of reports from residents about deer running along Larch Avenue road.

Drivers are urged to take care for deer jumping out on to the road.

A statement said: "Every year we have deer that run along the road, this year is no exception.

"We have been informed by RBWM that there have been several incidents locally just in the last week during the day, especially along Larch Avenue.

"We know that Deer are unpredictable about running into the road when they have strayed out of their natural environment and become frightened. Drivers are similarly spooked!

"Please take extra care when driving by wooded areas that are shielded by the road."
