THE North Shropshire Wheelers' competitive nature has not been dampened by lockdown, with club members once again competing for honours.
Last week riders from the club took part in Wednesday evening's Championship 10, with both the club title and the Barry Ralphs Memorial Trophy up for grabs.
James Neale was quickest on the day, finishing his 10-mile ride with a time of 23 minutes and 44 seconds and in doing so won both titles on offer.
Gareth Brookes was not far behind in second with a 24:23 and rounding out the top three was Doug Slater with a 24:50.
Elaine Langley was the fastest woman with her time of 32:22 beating Lin Boughey's time of 33:33.
Event organiser Mo Cliff commended James for his efforts.
"Well done to all riders, another good night," she said. "Congratulations to James on winning the Championship event, the Barry Ralphs Memorial Trophy."
