RESIDENTS can now make an appointment once every seven days to one of Carmarthenshire County Council’s household waste recycling centres.

The change comes following a successful re-opening of the Nanycaws, Trostre, Wernddu and Whitland centres.

Additional appointments have also opened across all four sites and Wernddu is now open seven days a week.

Visits to the recycling centres continue to be by appointment only for essential use to dispose of any household waste.

We are also extending the date range for appointment availability to fourteen days and they can be made at any time by visiting the recycling centres page or contacting Galw Sir Gar on 01267 234567 if they have no access to the internet.

Residents are being reminded that entry to the site is at any time within the half hour appointment slot made – residents don’t need to attend at the start of the slot and may find less of a wait going later on, for example if you have a 10am booking you can turn up at 10.15am and still have plenty of time to offload your waste.

Please remember to ensure all waste is sorted and separated before visiting so that as much waste as possible is recycled in the relevant containers on site.
