A MURDER investigation has been launched after the deaths of two women in Salisbury.

Here is what we know so far.

What happened?

Wiltshire Police says it received a call from a member of the public at 2.45pm yesterday following concerns for the occupants of a house on Wessex Road.

Officers were then sent to the home.

When they arrived, the body of a woman was discovered, and another woman was found to be seriously injured.

Medics from the South Western Ambulance Service rushed to the scene, but the second woman was pronounced dead soon after they arrived.
