LAST WEEK saw residents of Penygroes join the rest of the UK as they applauded the NHS for the final time.
Families living in Bryncwar Road have clapped for carers for the past 10 weeks.
Among the residents is Marian and her husband Ray - also known as Ray Disco - who decided to entertain his neighbours by getting out his DJ decks.
Marian said: "We all started just clapping 10 weeks ago to show our support and appreciation. It then turned into a little party with dancing and singing and Ray with his music.
"One of our neighbours comes out with a tambourine and we all have a great time. When the music and clapping has finished we then have a social distance chat in the street.
"We are very lucky to live in such a lovely community."
