PLANS for a new salon in Betws have been approved.
The proposal, to change a garage to a hair salon, was given approval by Carmarthenshire County Council's planning officer on March 23.
There had been concerns expressed by Betws Community Council about parking options at the site, on land adjacent to Maes y Ffin.
However, Highways Planning Liaison said there were no concerns, and had no objections to approval.
In their decision notice, the planning officer said: "The proposed development complies with policy in that it is a small scale employment use within the settlement development limits, which is appropriate in scale and design to the urban form and is not likely to cause unacceptable harm to neighbouring properties."
