HYWEL Dda University Health Board have announced that why will limit the number of visitors on wards in response to the Coronavirus outbreak.

A spokesman for the health board said they were placing restrictions on visitors, with three exceptions.

One parent or guardian will be allowed to visit their child at a time.

Only one birthing partner will be allowed to join birthing mothers.

While patients considered to be at the end of life or recieving palliative care will still be allowed visitors.

A spokesman for the health board said: "Thank you to everyone for supporting our visitor restrictions to protect our patients and our NHS.

"We have now moved to restricting visitors to all our wards.

"Visits must be pre-planned and agreed with the sister/charge nurse.

"We know this is a very distressing time and it will be upsetting to not be able to visit your loved ones.

"Our Patient Support Team are able to help to deliver essential items to patients from their family; if you need their assistance please call them on and 0300 0200 159 and they will do their best to help you.

"Our Chaplaincy Service are also on hand to provide spiritual support to our staff and patients at this difficult time."
