A LLANWRDA man who persistently ignored court orders has been jailed.

Anthony Wray, aged 31, bombarded his former wife Shelley with unwanted telephone calls despite being under a restraining order banning him from contacting her.

Wray, of Cwrtyfaenor, Llansadwrn, admitted breaching a restraining order issued on September 30 last year and was jailed for six months.

David Singh, prosecuting, told Swansea crown court that on September 26 last year Miss Wray received a telephone call and recognised his voice.

He made various complaints about a property they were in dispute over and she told him to leave her alone.

Mr Singh said that over the next few hours she received 26 calls from her former husband, only one of which she answered.

Mr Singh said Wray had already breached the restraining order twice before the latest offending.

The judge, Mr Recorder John Philpotts said Wray simply ignored court orders.

β€œHe does not seem to take any notice of these orders. He decided they did not really matter and there was no need to pay any attention to them,” he added.

Mr Recorder Philpotts warned Wray that any further breaches could lead to longer prison sentences and advised him to turn his life around.
