AMMANFORD AFC will be shown on live TV for the first time in the club’s history when they face Carmarthen Town in the next round of the JD Welsh Cup.

The draw pitted Ammanford against their Carmarthenshire rivals for round three of Wales’ oldest cup competition, in a repeat of the draw made three seasons ago, which saw a crowd of more than 400 people at the Recreation Ground.

The tie will take place at Carmarthen Town’s Richmond Park on December 6 and will be shown live on S4C’s Sgorio.

Ammanford played their way into the third round with a victory over Ton Pentre in the last round on Saturday.

Carmarthen won the last fixture between these two teams, in the same round of the competition, coming out 3-2 victors in the side’s first contest since 1991.

The game has now been brought forward to Friday evening, as Gruff Harrison’s men prepare to go in front of the TV Cameras.

Contact the club directly if you would be interested in booking your seat on the away day bus on 6th December for an 8pm kick off.
