IT’S going to get very wet again later today (Wednesday, November 13) in the Cardigan area after the Met Office issued a yellow alert for heavy rain this afternoon and tonight.

The warning for downpours runs from 5pm until midnight, with possible transport disruption, while the Met Office is also warning of the possible risk of flooding to homes and businesses.

A Met Office spokesperson said: “Heavy rain will move in from the west through Wednesday afternoon and evening, becoming persistent in places during the evening.

“It is possible 20 to 30mm may fall within three to four hours in a few locations. Rain may also turn to snow over the higher routes in south Wales towards midnight, perhaps with a few centimetres accumulating.”
