A LLANDOVERY man has been ordered to pay more than £600 after admitting driving without due care and attention.

Stephen Carter, of Adelaide Street, appeared at Llanelli Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.

The 65-year-old admitted driving without due care and attention on April 22.

Carter was driving on the A4215 when he went to overtake another vehicle on the approach to a bend.

Another vehicle was coming in the other direction and the cars narrowly avoided a collision.

The incident was captured on dash cam footage.

Carter was fined £472, told to pay a victim surcharge of £47 and ordered to cover costs of £85.

He was also handed six points onto his driving licence.
