AN ABERPORTH woman has been cleared of a charge of being in charge of a motor vehicle while exceeding the prescribed alcohol level.

Catrin Medi Lewis, aged 26, of Cae Dolwen, Aberporth pleaded not guilty to being in charge of a Toyota Aygo at Quay Street car park, Cardigan on April 28, after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion in her breath of 90 milligrammes per 100 millilitres exceeded the prescribed limit of 35 milligrammes.

Lewis was found not guilty by magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre and the charge was dismissed.
