A LLANDEILO woman has been fined and banned after being caught drink driving in Gorslas.

Amy Rodgers, of Heol Cennen, Ffairfach, appeared at Llanelli Magistrates' Court on Thursday.

She admitted being over the drink drive limit on August 15, while driving on the A476 in Gorslas.

The 34-year-old was fined £120, ordered to pay £32 as a victim surcharge, and told to cover the prosecution's costs of £85.

As well as the financial penalty of £237, Rodgers was also banned from driving for 14 months.

However, she was told that the disqualification would be reduced to 14 weeks on completion of a driving course by May 22.
