GWAUN-Cae-Gurwen library has obtained copies of all of the books on the Books Prescription Wales list.
A spokesman for the library said: "This has been funded through a £500 grant from the Community Foundation in Wales.
"We've obtained this grant with support from Hwyl, Local Primary Mental Health Support Service and the Aman Tawe Medical Practice, so we now have open access shelves of self help and well-being books"
Manager of Amman Tawe Practice, Hayley Blyth, Dr Duncan Williams and Lynne Hopkins of Hwyl, all made their way to the library to celebrate the books being made available.
