Last week, Ammanford Police held their annual primary schools football tournament at the Recreation Ground, Ammanford.
The event was organised by School Community Police Officer PC Kevin Jones, PC Rob Chapman and Ammanford Neighbourhood Policing Team.
Sixteen local schools took part and contributed to a wonderful day of football.
After a full day of fantastic competition, the eventual Cup winners were Bro Banw, beating Llangadog in a close, exciting final.
The Shield competition was won by Ysgol Y Bedol, defeating Brynamman in the Final.
PC Kevin Jones said: "A huge thank you to the sponsors of the tournament – Chris Y Crydd, Brecon Carreg Water and Tesco.
"Massive thanks also to Mr Dafydd Llewellyn, PCC of Dyfed-Powys Police and Rhys Jones, Glanamman Youth Services.
"Thanks also to Alan Jones from Ammanford Town AFC for all his help once again, and Carmarthenshire County Council for marking the pitches.
"Without all their support, we wouldn’t be able to run this event."
