Ronald and Nola Whitbread celebrate their 60th wedding anniversairy with daughter Vivian and Llys Newydd residents at The King's Head in Capel Hendre
Residents of a Capel Hendre care home have helped a happy couple celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary.
Ronald and Nola Whitbread got married at St James Church in Kent on June 20 1959.
They have two children and Ronald is a resident at Llys Newydd Care Home while Nola lives in Carmarthen.
Ron made Nola a diamond anniversary gift at craft club and presented her with some flowers.
Daughter Vivian and fellow Llys Newydd residents helped the couple celebrate their anniversary with a meal at The King’s Head in Capel Hendre.
When asked the secret behind a long marriage, Nola said: “Willing to share, willing to have a good sense of humour and lots of love.”
