A PONTARDDULAIS pensioner was hit with five points on his driving licence after admitting driving without due care and attention, and failing to stop.

Ifor Miles, of Pentre Road, appeared at Llanelli Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.

He admitted causing damage to another car and failing to stop, and driving without due care and attention.

Both charges related to an incident in the Crematorium Car Park, Llanelli, on November 14 last year.

The 86-year-old was fined £200 for failing to stop following the collision.

He was also ordered to cover £85 costs and pay a victim surcharge of £30.

Five points were also added to Miles' driving licence.

There was no separate penalty for the other offence.
