Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault involving a man from Carmarthenshire.

The incident occurred at around 11.25pm on Saturday 15 June at the side of Primark in Swansea near the roundabout for Princess Way and Caer Street.

A 55-year-old man was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable but critical condition.

Two men have been arrested in connection with the incident and have been released on police bail

A spokesperson for South Wales Police said:” We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed or filmed the incident to come forward.

“In particular we are keen to hear from two men who we believed witnessed the incident – the first was wearing a black leather jacket and the second a white gillet.

“We are also keen to hear from any taxi drivers using the nearby taxi rank as we believe a taxi driver was in the immediate vicinity at the time of the incident and are asking anyone who may have dash cam footage to please review it between 11.15pm and 11.30pm on Saturday evening.”
