Armed Forces Day is being honoured in Neath Port Talbot on Monday, June 24, where flags will be raised at both the Civic Centre in Neath and the Civic Centre in Port Talbot at 10.30 am.
Representatives of the Armed Forces will be present and the public are welcome to attend the ceremonies which are part of the Mayor’s Armed Forces Covenant Festival.
Following the success of last year’s Armed Forces Festival, details of this year’s festival are due to be announced in the coming weeks.
Armed Forces Day itself takes place on the last Saturday of each June.
In 2019, it will take place on Saturday, June 29 but Armed Forces Day celebrations begin on Monday, June 24 when the Armed Forces Day flag is raised on buildings and famous landmarks around the country.
