Dyfed-Powys Police has issued a warning to people in trades to increase their security, following thefts from two vans in the Penparcau area of Aberystwyth, one in the Pencader area, one in the Llandysul area and one in the Llansawel area.
The offences in Penparcau happened some time over night on Sunday, June 9 and Monday, June 10 and the offences in Pencader, Llandysul and Llansawel areas happened sometime overnight on Monday, June 10 and Tuesday, June 11.
Various work, power and electrical tools were stolen from the parked vans.
It has prompted the police to appeal for witnesses and to advise van owners to increase their vehicle security.
Inspector Delme Rees said: “I urge van owners, and particularly vans with power tools in, to be vigilant and report anything suspicious to police immediately.
“Increase security measures to keep property safe and also if anyone is offered tools in suspicious circumstances, please do not buy them and let police know immediately via 101. You can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
