A Llandovery College pupil has cut her hair for charity.

Cerys Howell Cousins, a Year 8 pupil, cut her long locks and donated the hair to the Little Princess Trust.

The Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children suffering from hair loss due to cancer treatment, thereby improving their sense of well-being and having a truly positive effect on their lives and that of their families.

The Charity helps boys and girls from all over the United Kingdom and Ireland; further information can be found at littleprincesses.org.uk.

Doing the actual hair cutting was another Llandovery College pupil Amelie Kessels and the money raised was donated to the charitable fund Amelie’s Rainbow.

Amelie herself is no stranger to charitable work and following her own illness, she, with her family, set up Amelie’s Rainbow a few years ago.

They have raised £43,000 to date and all monies have gone to Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital and the supporting children’s cancer charities.
