A TUMBLE man has been ordered to pay more than £450 and given nine points on his license after driving without due care and attention.

Frederick Treloar, of Llechyfedach, appeared at Llanelli Magistrates' Court on Wednesday where he admitted the offence.

On November 12, last year, Treloar was driving on High Street, Ammanford.

A car had stopped at the traffic lights in front of him when the lights turned red.

The 32-year-old failed to stop at the red light, overtaking the stopped car, despite a cyclist and pedestrian waiting to cross the road.

He went through the red light and turned right towards Llandybie.

The incident was captured on a dash cam, and the standard of driving was seen to fall below that of a reasonable and competent driver.

For the offence, Treloar was fined £340, told to pay £85 in costs and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge.

He was also given nine points on his driving licence.
