Your wedding day is meant to be the best day of your life but some are more memorable then others.

Ammanford Community Theatre are back with their latest world premiere comedy, The Top Table.

After wowing audiences with their previous comedies, Last Tango in Ammanford and Ammanford Angels, you are now warmly invited to attend the wedding reception that you will never forget.

This hilarious new play is set in real time around the top table at a local family wedding.

Speeches are made and secrets unveiled. But is someone trying to sabotage the happy event?

Who can find the chef, the main course or the canapés? The Top Top promises to be a hilarious night of theatre, where you will definitely discover if there is a happily ever after.

The production is written and directed by Dave Jenkins, who also stars in the show.

Dave said: “I’ve always thought that weddings have the potential for a fair amount of drama.

“With our last two plays being set in lounges we wanted to come up with a new location that would also work in our theatre.

“So, a wedding reception it is. I’ve also wanted to write a play in “real time” so there are no cuts or scenes, the action takes place as it would, if taking place in “real life.”

“If we removed the interval, it would be one seamless non-stop story.

“I’m hoping no-one has ever been to a wedding reception like this one, but some elements are based on stories I’ve heard, or witnessed myself.”

You can catch The Top Table at Ammanford Miners Theatre from Thursday, June 13 and Saturday, June 15.

All performances start at 7.30pm.

Tickets are priced at £9 for adults and £7 for concessions.
