A SPECIAL screening of a film starring a former Amman Valley pupil is being held in his hometown next week.

Steve Roger Phillips, otherwise known as The Warrior of Peace, has become the first Welsh speaker to appear in a personal development film series.

The 37-year-old, a former Welsh International rugby player, stars in Becoming The Keys – the third film in the Key Movie series written and produced by Robin Jay.

A showing of the film is being held at Amman United Rugby Club on April 11.

The films are unique hybrids that combine a narrative story and fictional characters interacting with cameos from some of today’s top thought leaders, including success guru Brian Tracy, don Miguel Ruiz, Dr. Joe Vitale and Dannion Brinkley.

Steve, who lived as a celibate monk for two years and is now focusing on key note speaking and coaching others to live the lives of their dreams, told The Guardian: “I am very excited to show Becoming the Keys in my hometown.

“The premiere in Cardiff went really well and I was overwhelmed by the responses from the guests.”

“There is also going to be TV cameras at the Ammanford event as there are plans for a documentary or a film on my story.

“It is going to be fantastic to have the support of my local community and to see some old friends at the showing.”

The experts in the films share stories that reflect the importance of embracing seven keys: appreciation, harmony, passion, courage, faith, vibration, and empathy.

Steve, who speaks on the key of Faith in the film, added: “The seven keys are critical to everyone’s happiness in both their personal and professional lives.

“When I speak to my clients and audiences, I show them how to incorporate the keys into their daily lives.”
