A teenager has been left needing surgery following an incident near Llandybie train station over the weekend.
A 17-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of assault.
Dyfed-Powys Police is appealing for witnesses to an assault which left a teenager needing surgery.
A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: "A call was received reporting an assault on a 17-year-old boy near Llandybie train station at around 2.30am on Saturday, March 9.
"The victim sustained a broken jaw in the incident, and is awaiting surgery.
"A 17-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of assault.
"Anyone with information is urged to call Dyfed-Powys Police on 101, quoting reference DPP/0023/09/03/2019/01/C."
